Restore previous versions
This guide shows you how to restore a published process model or global task to a previous version in Klarify.
Restoring a previous version creates a new published version with the content from the selected version. No published versions are lost — the full version history is preserved and your current draft remains unchanged.
Prerequisites
- You have the required permissions (see above)
- A process model or global task has been published more than once
Instructions
Open the published document and click the Versions tab on the left sidebar to open the Version history panel.
Step 1: View the version you want to restore
- In the Version history panel, click the version you want to restore (e.g., V1.0).
- The editor loads the selected version in read-only mode. The header shows the version number and “Old Version. Back to Latest Version.”
Step 2: Restore the version
- Click Restore Version in the top right corner.
- In the Restore older version modal, review the Name and Process Owner (or Task Owner) fields.
- Optionally, enter Version Notes describing why you are restoring this version.
- Click Restore older version.
The restored content is published as a new version. The version number is automatically determined based on the difference between the current and restored versions.
