Restore snapshots

This guide shows you how to restore a process model or global task to a previous snapshot in Klarify.

Restoring a snapshot replaces your current draft with the contents of the selected snapshot. Before restoring, Klarify automatically creates a new snapshot of your current state so you can return to it if needed.

Prerequisites

  • You have the required permissions (see above)
  • A process model or global task has at least one snapshot (Create snapshots)

Instructions

Open the document and click the Changelog tab in the left sidebar to view all snapshots.

Step 1: Select a snapshot

  1. In the Changelog panel, locate the snapshot you want to restore.
  2. Click the overflow menu (three dots) on the snapshot row.
  3. Select Restore this version.

You can also view a snapshot first by clicking on it, then click Restore Snapshot in the top right corner of the header.

Step 2: Confirm the restore

  1. The selected snapshot is loaded into the current draft.
  2. The document is now editable from the restored state.

A snapshot of your pre-restore state is automatically saved, so you can undo the restore by following these same steps.
