Accountabilities and responsibilities
Owners and performers explains how Klarify ties accountability and responsibility to your organizational structure: an owner is the position accountable for the outcome of the process or task they own, while task performers are the positions, teams, departments, or roles responsible for performing the work.
Your personal page is where you see your own. It lists every document you have a relationship to, organized into tabs — Owner, Performer, Editor, and Shared with me. Open it from the top of the sidebar, where your own name appears. The Editor tab appears only if you have edit access.
The lists are scoped to your current organization.
View what you are accountable for
The Owner tab lists every document whose Owner is a position you hold — the documents you are accountable for. Because owners are positions rather than individual employees, anyone filling one of your positions is accountable for the same documents.
If you hold more than one position, the tab combines the documents owned by any of them.
For more on how ownership works, see Owners and performers.
View what you are responsible for
The Performer tab lists every task or task instruction where you appear as a task performer — the work you are responsible for performing. You can be reached as a performer through any of the following:
- A position you hold
- A team you belong to
- A department you belong to
- A role that matches one of your positions
- The Assign to all positions option, when you hold at least one position
If a document reaches you through more than one of these, it appears once on the tab.
Narrow the Performer list with filters
The Performer tab shows its filters as pills above the list — click a pill to set its value, and use Clear filters to reset them all. The available filters are:
- Name — narrow by document name.
- Assigned to — narrow by which of your positions, teams, departments, or roles surfaced the document. Categories appear only for entity types you actually belong to.
- Folder — limit to a specific folder.
- Type — process model, subprocess, global task, or task.
- Access — limit by the document’s access setting.
- Date published or Date modified — limit to a date range.
These filters, and the Edit columns control for showing and hiding columns, work the same way across every list page. See Filter and customize document lists.
View documents you can edit
The Editor tab lists every document where you have been granted explicit edit access — documents you work on without necessarily owning or performing them. These are the documents you’ve been added to through Custom Access in the publish flow.
View documents shared with you
The Shared with me tab lists documents that other people have shared with you, whether with edit or view-only access. Alongside the document name it shows Shared by (who shared it), Date shared (when), and My permission — Can edit or View only. Documents you created yourself are not listed here.
